At LI Field House, our team of experienced and knowledgeable coaches is dedicated to helping athletes of all ages reach their full potential. We hire the top talent with a variety of backgrounds, certifications, and specialties, and continuously invest in their continuing education. Our goal is to give our athletes every opportunity to succeed.
Richard Garrett oversees the day-to-day operations at the LI Fieldhouse Training Facility.
Prior to helping design and coordinate the LI Fieldhouse Rick Garrett was a very successful Head College Baseball coach at St. Joseph’s University in NY. Before that he was the Head Coach of St. Dominic HS one of New York’s top high school baseball programs. Rick has a degree in athletic administration and has help athletes in many sports reach their goals of playing at a higher level. As the General Manager of the LI Fieldhouse he is available to help teams in all sports develop programs for their players in baseball, softball, soccer, Lacrosse and physical speed and weight lifting. Logan Gersbeck, a former three-year varsity player at Plainedge High School, graduated from St. Dominic's in 2021. Throughout his career, Logan excelled as a middle infielder and pitcher. He continued his pitching journey at Stevenson University, where he showcased his skills on the mound. Logan's passion extends beyond the game itself - he aspires to guide players in their personal and athletic growth. Recognizing that baseball embraces failure, he emphasizes the importance of perseverance and development on and off the field.

Danny Lackner is a Partner and the Director of Player Development at The LI Field House, where he has earned a distinguished reputation for his expertise in private baseball training and development. With a background as a former High School All-American, College & Professional baseball player.
Following his retirement from the game, Danny transitioned into the business and professional player development side of baseball. He is a graduate of MLB Scout School 2015’ and has extensive experience consulting elite baseball prospects and their families.
Danny specializes in working with individual baseball players to develop and enhance their on field performance and achieve their development goals.

Tyler Levine is the Owner and Founder of The Arm Academy and serves as the Director of Player Development and Pitching Coordinator. Since 2018, The Arm Academy has been at the forefront of Pitching Development and Education on Long Island, setting a new standard for excellence. Tyler and his team of performance coaches bring over 20 years of professional playing experience to Long Island Field House.
Under Tyler’s leadership, The Arm Academy have transformed countless athletes into elite pitchers, and have provided training for pitchers in the World Baseball Classic and MLB. Tyler has dedicated himself to the pursuit of knowledge and holds various certifications and a Master’s Degree in Education. These academic achievements have honed his ability to impart effective training practices and philosophies to players of all levels.

Matt spent 8 seasons playing professional baseball in the Washington Nationals organization from 2013-2020. A Hauppauge, NY native, Matt was a 5-year Varsity player for Hauppauge High School where he graduated in 2010 and went on to play Division 1 baseball on a scholarship to Hofstra University. After several summers playing in collegiate leagues including the Northwoods League, Coastal Plains League, and Cape Cod Baseball League, Matt signed with Washington in 2013 after his junior campaign and went on to graduate from Hofstra with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science in 2015. Matt is a Rapsodo Certified Hitting & Pitching Instructor as well as a Swing Catalyst Certified Instructor.

Matt Pelcher, a catcher and utility player for the Hofstra University baseball team, boasts an impressive track record. Hailing from Merrick, he began his high school career at Calhoun High School before transferring to IMG Academy, where he was a member of the prestigious IMG Academy National Team. In 2022, Matt's exceptional skills were recognized when he was named a Hamptons Baseball League All-Star and also earned a spot on the All-Hamptons League. His dedication and talent make him a standout Division One baseball player.

Kyle Young, a 7-foot tall left-handed pitcher, was drafted in the 22nd round of the 2016 MLB draft from St. Dominic HS. Throughout his career, he has achieved a remarkable 14-8 record with an impressive 2.92 ERA. As a former all-star and a top 30 prospect in the Philadelphia Phillies minor league system, he’s thrilled to guide the next generation of baseball players in unlocking their true potential on the mound through solid mechanics and a resilient mental game. He lends his expertise in pitching preparation to establish a robust and nurturing routine for pitchers as they progress in their careers, fostering strength and well-being.

Nick Fanti played 8 seasons in the minor leagues with the Philadelphia Phillies organization. In 2015, he was honored with both the Yazstremski award and the Newsday Player of the Year award. Nick was selected as a minor league all-star twice and achieved 2 no-hitters in 2017. Furthermore, he has had the incredible opportunity to represent Team Italy in the WBC. Now, he’s dedicated to helping pitchers develop effective routines that maximize their success on the field.

Phil is a college outfielder who excelled during his four years at St. Joseph's University Long Island. With vast experience in all three outfield positions, he has honed his skills. Throughout his college career, Phil has devoted himself to working with young athletes, providing one-on-one training and coaching summer teams. His ultimate goal is to guide aspiring players in realizing their potential and achieving their desires both on and off the baseball field.

Garrett Rodgers is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist working with Athletic Movement Protocol since the Fall of 2019.
Coach Garrett has played both soccer and baseball for over 20 years and naturally transitioned from being in the lineup to writing the lineup. Having coached baseball for over ten years he views coaching baseball as the place he fostered his passion for fitness, health, and overall athletic development.
Coach Garrett is true coach at heart that’s committed to helping you become both physically and mentally stronger.

Sean Singh brings over 15+ years of high-level softball experience, coaching on the National, Regional and local level. He is currently an Assistant Varsity Coach at Smithtown High School West, where he helps fine tune the player’s hitting and fielding fundamentals. He is the Director and lead Hitting / Fielding instructor at Sluggers Elite Fastpitch, a softball program based out of Smithtown, NY which develops athletes into competitive travel ball players. In 2022, he led the Smithtown Bulls Softball team to their very first NYS Little League Championship in program history.

Brittany Skrypek is currently a 7th grade ELA teacher at Robert Frost MS in Deer Park. She is an alumnus of St. Anthony High School and The Catholic University of America, where she played outfield and 2nd base. In her 5 years with Deer Park, she has coached at the junior varsity, middle school, and little league level. Additionally, she serves as the Deer Park Little League Softball Director. Since serving as the director, she has almost tripled the number of young girls playing softball in the Deer Park community. Brittany is the Head Coach for Long Island Express 14U and is excited to return with the travel organization that she played on as a teenager. Her goal as a coach is to develop young players to reach their full potential and mentor them to succeed in all areas of life.
